• 24/7 and 365 day operation.
• 5 km national wind map over the continental United States.
• Covers an additional 100 km north past the U.S.-Canadian border, 100 km south past the U.S.-Mexico border and 10 km offshore along the continental U.S. Pacific and Atlantic coasts.
• Uses 3TIER's advanced numerical weather prediction (NWP) modeling technology. Model simulations were made at a spatial resolution of 5 km and interpolated for your specific area.
• Observations from more than 2,000 airport and tall towers were used to correct the simulations and provide you with a unique confidence rating for each report.
• Power curve generation based on your choice of one of three hub heights:
  • 20 m - based on the Bergey XL.1 turbine
  • 50 m - based on the Vestas V52 turbine
  • 80 m - based on the GE 1.5 SLE turbine
• The same modeling and validation approach was used to create the entire dataset, creating geographic consistency.
